Systems Administrator / Software Developer Position

We are looking for a competent systems administrator / software developer to assist our IT staff at CTA.

An excellent candidate is a self-starter with a great work ethic. It is essential that this person be well organized, reliable, and able to work independently as well as in a group setting. Ideally, this person would have experience with programming and system administration.

This is an entry level technical position and pay will be hourly.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining applications used to support the sales and management team at CTA.
• Basic troubleshooting of these applications, deploying bug fixes, and maintaining software.
• Creating and maintaining Ruby on Rails applications.
• Provisioning, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining systems.
• Providing assistance for technical issues and customer service to the sales and management teams.
• Supporting the operations staff in executing, testing and rolling out solutions.
• Continually improve our systems by offering support, maintenance, research, and development.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Windows and Linus Operating Systems
• Some programming experience preferred
• Experience with SQL or other DBMS is preferred
• Great soft skills to be able to interact with management and sales agents in a clear and professional manner
• Ability to work under pressure and with time constraints
• Exceptional attendance
• Must be able to work 11am-8pm Tuesday through Friday and 9am-3pm on Saturdays
